ANTICIPATION

April 8, 2006 - Anticipation and anxiousness prevails as slaters await the beginning of the season. While we've received a smattering of unsubstantiated reports originating from our brethren in the south, it's still a bit early to consider an attack.

We are lucky to have access to a considerable amount of information regarding the health and condition of our primary, migratory game fish (striped bass, bluefish) and all recounts seem to be of a positive nature. In general we are looking forward to another "world class" season.

WELLFLEET
Anglers seeking bayside boat access to the outer Cape will be happy to note that the town ramp in Wellfleet has been totally renovated and will allow all-tide access to some of the most productive shallow water angling east of the canal.

YOU SCOUNDREL
Good friend and North Carolina resident, Arthur Costonis, has forwarded a number of extraordinary pics from his most recent outings on the Outer Banks… enjoy, they're coming.

Good fishing and safe wading,

JB
