STILL EARLY May 6, 2009 - Here it is early May and we have received only sporadic reports of only marginal success along our south shore. Traditional early spring areas such as Cotuit, South Cape Beach, Mashpee and the Bass River have yet to light up but I can assure you it may only be a few days away. I personally canvassed the Bass River in Yarmouth and can report little results from conventional anglers toiling throughout the system. A few fish have begun to show up at the east end of Cape Cod Canal but hardly worth the required effort. Good fishing and safe
